The Bible Study and Prayer Group meet every Tuesday evening in the church hall from 7.15-9.15pm.
There are usually between 10 and 12 people attending most weeks.
The meeting begins with a prayer followed by singing a couple of hymns/choruses.  The study is usually of a particular book in the Bible or a special character.  In the past we have studied Genesis, David, Joseph, Elijah, Women in the Bible and Prayer using the LifeBuilder Bible study guide
Those who are happy leading the group take it in turn to guide the discussion and ask the questions from the Bible Study guide provided.  The Bible Study ends at 8.30 for a time of fellowship with tea/coffee and biscuits.
The final part of the evening is for prayer.  We pray for our ministers, our church situation, the Sunday School, and Guild. If there are any events going on in the community these are prayed for too.  We bring to God anyone who is in need of healing or help.  This can be done in silence if preferred.  World disasters and problems are also brought to God in prayer. Only those who feel comfortable praying out loud do so but many prayers are spoken quietly to God from the heart.
All are welcome at the prayer meeting.
