Intimations from Presbytery meeting of 11th June

1.    There will be an information afternoon in Allan Park South Church on Thursday 18th June at 2pm for those interested in the new projects announced.

               The Rock

2.    The Convener of the Committee, Rev Andy Campbell reported that a survey will be issued inviting feedback on content, distribution and usage to inform a decision on the future of the The Rock. The results will be reported in September.  Please look out for this and fill it in.

3.    Presbytery’s representative on Stirling Council’s Education Committee; Presbytery  invites nominations for the vacancy to be forwarded to the Clerk by 31st August.

4.    Rev Jim Landels reminded  Presbyters of this event in  Allan Church, Bannockburn; Scottish Music Legends,  A Show Hosted by Mr Billy Buchanan on  June 12th at 7.30pm Admission Free; Retiring Donation In Aid of Nepal

5.    Rev Margaret Shuttleworth gave notice of a service on Sunday 14th June at 2.30 in Kincardine 0n Forth Church.  Entitled Sing, Sign and Celebrate it is aimed at people with learning difficulties.

6.    **Website** Rev Richard Begg will present a session on  Wednesday 24 June from 7.30- 9.00pm in Strathblane Parish Church, Kirk Rooms, G63 9AB for those Interested in setting up a Parish website but don't know where to start or want to set up one through the Presbytery account. Are you a Convenor of a Presbytery committee and want to be able to manage your own pages to help inform and enhance the time between meetings of the committee then this is also for you to come along and learn how to do this.’

7.    Friends of the Church of the Holy Rude give notice of concerts in aid of their Organ Restoration Appeal on Saturdays 18th July, 25th July and 15th August.  All at 7.30  with tickets at £10 (£6 concession)  and featuring Trumpet, ‘Cello and Violin soloists respectively together with Ian Boulter on the Organ.

8.    Presbytery meetings;

At Dunblane: St. Blanes on Thursday 18th June at 6.45 pm for the induction of Rev Gary Caldwell as Minister at Dunblane: St Blane's linked with Lecropt;, the service to commence at 7.00 pm and the Rev Carol Anne Parker to assist the Moderator;

At  Kippen on Thursday 20th August at 6.45 pm for the Induction of the Rev Ellen Larson Davidson to Kippen linked with Norrieston, the service to commence at 7.00 pm and the Rev Richard Begg to assist the Moderator;

At Logie on Thursday 10th September at 6.30 pm (note the earlier time) for the celebration of the Sacrament of Holy Communion, followed by the conduct of regular business.
